PR3512SE SERIES AMP (Special Edition) - 35 watts and 14 watts

The PR3512SE and PR1512SE series is loosely based upon the original "AA1164", 1964 vintage Fender® Princeton Reverb® amplifier.  We include point-to-point wiring, tube driven spring reverb, tube driven tremolo, two inputs, adjustable bias, and a vintage 12" Jensen AlNiCo P12Q speaker.  Controls include Volume, Bass, Mid, Treble, Reverb, Tremolo Speed and Intensity and Master.  Power output is 35 watts RMS and 14 watts RMS for original power level.  Tube complement includes a matched pair of 6L6GC's  or 6V6GT's, 3 - 12AX7 preamp tubes and 1 - 12AT7 reverb driver tube.  An adjustable bias control is included with two test jacks on the rear deck.  A 5AR4 rectifier is also included to produce "pick sensitive" response and to allow for "sag" at higher volume levels.  Cabinets are constructed of solid, finger jointed pine.  This feature effectively reduces output to one quarter of stock power, and had no affect at all on the amp's tone.  All models are black with/silver grill cloth, Snakeskin with Black grill or vintage Tweed with Oxblood grill.

NEW STANDARD VERSION (PR3512)

A cost conscious :"Standard" version of this same amp is also available.  It contains the same circuitry, but eliminates some of the bells and whistles that are present in the full version PR.  The Standard "PR" sports a smaller cab size, includes vintage blackface aesthetics, has 35-watts output, and includes Volume, Treble, Bass, Reverb, Intensity and Speed controls.  We even includes four rolling casters.  You get tube driven spring reverb, tube driven tremolo, two inputs, adjustable bias, and the same vintage 12" Jensen AlNiCo P12Q speaker as with the full version.  The Standard "PR" eliminates the Fat/Boost, Mid and Master, yet still delivers a hefty dose of the  "dripping with tone" signature that makes FireBelly unique.

DL2212SE SERIES AMP (Special Edition) - 22 watts

The DR2212SE series is loosely based upon the original "AB763", 1963 vintage Fender® Deluxe Reverb® amplifier.  This amp is a Dual Channel, dual input Class A/B amplifier with 22 watts RMS output utilizing a matched duet of 6V6GT's.  Tone controls for Channel #1 are Volume, Bass, Treble, with a Bright switch.  Tone controls for Channel #2 are Volume, Treble, Mid, Bass,  Reverb, and Speed & Intensity for the Tremolo and a Bright switch.  A Master volume control can be found on the rear deck.  Spring reverb is tube driven to maintain a clean, vintage black face effect and the tremolo is tube bias driven. All wiring is done on a point-to-point basis.  Speakers are configured with a vintage 12" Jensen AlNiCo P12Q speaker.  This is truly one of the most sought after black face amps in history and produces a natural break-up and compression with the Volume at the 5 -6 setting.  The DR is  a great recording amp and can be used for small to medium size gigs.  It has four inputs with the second input on each channel rated at approximately -3db.  Tube compliment consists of 4 - 12AX7's, 2 - 12AT7's and a matched duet of 6V6GT's.  An adjustable bias control is included with two test jacks on the rear deck.  A 5AR4 rectifier is included to produce "pick sensitive" response and to allow for "sag" at higher volume levels.

NEW STANDARD VERSION (DL2212)

A cost conscious standard version of the DL is also available.  The Standard "DL" contains the same circuitry, but eliminates some of the bells and whistles that are present in the full version DL.  The Standard "DL" puts out 22-watts, has two channels, includes vintage blackface aesthetics, and eliminates the Mid, Fat/Boost and Master.  You get tube driven spring reverb, tube driven tremolo, two inputs, adjustable bias, and the same vintage 12" Jensen AlNiCo P12Q speaker as with the full version.  The Standard "DL" delivers "dripping with tone" lows, mids and top end sparkle and will please even the most discerning ear.

VB3510SE SERIES AMP (Special Edition) - 40 watts

Our VB series is loosely based upon the original "AA964", 1964 vintage Fender® Vibroluxe Reverb® amplifier. This amp is a Dual Channel, dual input Class A/B amplifier with 40 watts output utilizing a matched duet of 6L6GC's. Tone controls for Channel #1 are Volume, Bass, Treble, and a Bright switch. Tone controls for Channel #2 are Volume, Treble, Mid, Bass, Reverb, and Speed & Intensity for the Tremolo as well as a Bright switch. Spring reverb is tube driven to maintain a clean, vintage black face effect and the tremolo is tube bias driven. A Master volume control can be found on the rear deck.  Spring reverb is tube driven to maintain a clean, vintage black face effect and the tremolo is tube bias driven. All wiring is done on a point-to-point basis.  Speakers are configured with two vintage 10" Jensen Ceramic C10Q speakers.  It has four inputs with the second input on each channel rated at approximately -3db.  Tube compliment consists of 4 - 12AX7's, 2 - 12AT7's and a matched duet of 6L6GT's.  An adjustable bias control is included with two test jacks on the rear deck.  A 5AR4 rectifier is included to produce "pick sensitive" response and to allow for "sag" at higher volume levels.

NEW STANDARD VERSION (VB3510)

A cost conscious version of the VB is also available.  The hand built, point-to-point style Standard "VB" contains the same circuitry as above, but eliminates some of the bells and whistles that are present in the full version VB.  This version puts out a punchy 40-watts RMS, has two channels, includes vintage blackface aesthetics, and eliminates the Mid, Fat/Boost and Master.  You get tube driven spring reverb, tube driven tremolo, two inputs, adjustable bias, and two vintage ceramic 10" Jensen C10Q's with basic grade components.  This Standard "VB is also "dripping with tone" and will satisfy the most serious musicians with a budget conscious version the continues to deliver "dripping with tone" sound and spirit that will keep up with the most aggressive drummer and bassist.

TW1955SE AMP (Special Edition) - 4-6 watts

The predecessor to the "PR" amp is the "TWEED1955SE".  Originally born in 1947, long before the days of the Blackface amps, this vintage "TV front" style amp is based upon the revised, 1955, 5F2-A circuit.  The TWEED design uses a dual-triode 12AX7 for its pre-amp with a single ended, Class-A, 6V6GT power amp and pumps out a very solid 4-6 watts of clean output power into a "period correct", vintage Jensen AlNiCo P10R.  Tubes are  hand selected .  Tube compliment is 1-12AX7, 1-6V6GT and 1-5Y3GT rectifier.  This amp is meticulously hand built with a "point-to-point" style wiring using a vintage Black fiber tag board.  Components such as Sprague Atom filter capacitors, Orange Drop tone/coupling capacitors, carbon comp film tone resistors, metal oxide power resistors, Carling switches, and Switchcraft jacks are used throughout to maintain the best quality.  The Tweed amp has been played in countless recordings and produces natural break-up and compression at reasonable volume levels.  It's tight footprint and lighter weight make it an ideal choice for the musician who plays in smaller venues and wants a "go to" amp that will perform flawlessly every time.

SINGLE STROKE TWEED WITH TUBE DRIVEN REVERB (Special Edition) 10-watts

Our new "SINGLE-STROKE", TUBE DRIVEN REVERB TWEED is  based upon a modified 1956, Princeton® 5F2/5F2A "Tweed" amplifier.  The 5F2A and subsequent variations had a single bias configuration based upon a fixed value capacitor and resistor network on the cathode of the preamp.  We have added a three-way toggle boost/voicing switch that acts on the first triode's preamp's bias resistor permitting the preamp to take on very different voicings within the same amplifier.  With the ability to change the way the first preamp operates, the "Single Stroke" can be set to produce a standard blackface shimmer, a fat-like  tweed /brown sound, or a plexi-like crunch, and all at the flick of a switch.  We have also included tube driven reverb with a spring reverb tank along with the use of a 1 X 10" & 1 X 8" dual speaker combination to improve on dynamics.  This also results in havingt 18" of speaker cone area in an amp that would normally only have room for a single 12" speaker.  We use a KT66 output amplifier in a single ended, Class-A configuration running 10-12 watts.  You can also select a 6L6GC as you final output tube producing approximately 8-10 watts.  This is a brand new amp and is the latest addition to the FireBelly Amps line.
